Retirement for Diane Martin

My sincere apologies that many people were not aware that I had retirement plans for 2023.  We have two newsletters that go out – and the announcements were made in the main newsletter.

I sold my interest in Rancho Tax to Bhaumik Amin, Enrolled Agent in October 2020.  I had agreed to work for two additional years – and ended up staying three.   With all the pushbacks of the 2023 tax  due dates, I ended up working until November 16th.

I feel good knowing I have left you in excellent hands.  Bhaumik(Beau) is very professional and excellent at tax preparation for both businesses & Individuals.  His staff is well trained and will be able to competently prepare the 2023 tax returns for you.   I have really enjoyed working with Beau for the last three years.  He cares about the clients in the same way I have.

As you know – in the world of income tax – things are always changing.  Something big for 2024 is the IRS is requiring clients to sign engagement letters to explain our duties to you, and your responsibilities to us.    Also tax professionals are being required to have more proof when it comes to claiming dependents, especially for those who claim Head of Household.

I have enjoyed working with all my clients since I started with Gil Martel in 2008.  I have always tried to give my best profession advice and attention to the work we did together.  It\’s time to express my appreciation for the friendships I have developed at Rancho Tax.  I am not leaving the area, so I will still consult with Beau – IF there\’s a situation that needs my input.
My husband has also retired and we have a few travel and camping trips planned.  I also will be spending more time with my grandchildren and my hobbies.

Best of success to everyone –

Sincerely, Diane Martin
